Located off the coast of La Rochelle in the Atlantic Ocean, La Baronnie Hôtel & Spa is the perfect holiday destination.
Built between 1712 and 1721 by the Lord of Île de Ré Jean Masseau de Beauséjour, La Baronnie has been owned by many illustrious figures throughout history. For example, in 1785 it was purchased by King Louis XVI for Marie-Antoinette!
Since becoming a hotel, much has been written about La Baronnie Hôtel & Spa in both the French and international press, and it has even made it onto the small screen, on French documentary programme ‘Des Racines & Des Ailes’ in 2012 and reality show ‘L’Amour Est Dans Le Pré’ in 2014.
